Pros

The people we work with are great! Not a ton of micromanaging. Reps are allowed to sell to a degree. Strong benefits. Unlimited PTO plus quarterly recharge days.

Cons

Well under paid. Specifically in this role. The AAE’s are expected to be the quarterback for each site but in reality we are often told we can not prospect into existing accounts to attempt to expand the foot print because the account managers are actually the ones that hold all the power. So you are at their mercy to just do what ever they ask. The only way to actually make any money is to bring on new accounts but we don’t have time to do any prospecting or hunting because we are tied to account managers that boss you around and expect you to do all the busy work. The pay is really low compared to the market. With average large deals taking 24-36 months to close you are forced to try and live of the peanuts of a base salary. The OTE sounds good in the beginning but you quickly realize it’s extremely unrealistic to hit that.

Pros

Worked for them for 7 1/2 years until after COVID, and no one came back to the office. Only 4 people remained in the office, shipping, and IT. After the owners sold them the building, Omnicell canceled the lease and was told that the lease would end in August 2022. I saw it coming after COVID, and no one was in the building. No offer to find other positions in the company. They do cuts all the time when stock prices go down, which is a sign of trouble ahead. Bad MGMT to many Top Dogs

Cons

I'm overworked and underpaid, and I plan to work off the clock at times.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, particularly around communication, workload, and compensation. We recognize how challenging periods of change can be, especially following COVID, and appreciate your feedback on management structure and workforce reductions.
