Previous Reviews Sum It Up - Administrative Assistant One Medical Employee Review

Ooofff where do I begin? Most of the previous reviews really sum up what it's like to work here and why you should stay away. The biggest thing for me was that at the end of the day, One Medical is a FOR-PROFIT tech company and that's been shown time and time again. Admins, phlebotomists, and providers are constantly disregarded - despite being on the front line and face of this company. Leadership will tell you that your feedback is "valued" and "let's have a conversation about your frustrations", yet after dozens of conversations, you'll end up being gaslit, and told that you need to be ~resilient~ with the constant change that you never have a voice in. I don't know if it's idiocy, pure ignorance, or a combination, but leadership is pathetic and reaps off its subordinates. I'm sure there are some decent managers/leaders out there, but that's few and far between. There is a constant lack of support from leadership, and leadership constantly gets to do absolutely nothing while getting compensated much more than they should. The shift lead position is a joke and essentially takes on managerial duties while not getting compensated for it. My shift lead ran our office and they were damn good at it. Meanwhile, my office manager couldn't even step in as an admin for half a day because they had no idea what was going on. One would think that an employee's direct support should be able to step in and ~directly support~ their subordinate....? There's a reason that One Medical was federally investigated and was found guilty. I will emphasize again - One Medical is a FOR-PROFIT medical company that slaps BIPOC and LGBTQ on everything to feel better about themselves.
