Pros
Lovely hard working pupils and supportive parents.
Cons
Micro managed within an inch of your life. No autonomy, professional trust. There is a policy for everything. With those policies they hold you accountable for everything. If you don't eat, sleep and breathe the pedagogy, you are encouraged to leave. The school is private but you work harder than in a mainstream, with excess hours. Well over the directed time. If you need an hour off for an medical appointment, you're docked pay. If your a parent with a sick child and you're called to collect, your docked pay. Lot's of highly paid middle management who are out of touch with the pressures a classroom teacher has to endure. Only caring for themselves. It was once the best place to teach, now more mainstream than mainstream. Least in mainstream staff value other staff on a personal level, setting results aside !
