Pros

- Good work life balance - Great location (Windsor Station in Montreal) - Beautiful new office - Free snacks, drinks, etc. - Lots of lunch and learns, workshops while we were in the office. - Smart and quick fellow devs, though often bogged down in decision making. - Huge customers, which makes for rewarding work. - Good product with decently modern stack. - Good HR team

Cons

- Getting a good team is a 40/60 gamble with the best outcome being most unlikely. - Benefits and vacation currently lagging behind the industry for devs. (This seems to have been driving coworkers to leave in recent months). - Some devs have been at OneSpan for too long and resist change. - Very poor transportation stipend options. Literally none if you live just outside the montreal metropolitan area. Not that it matters currently though. - Lots of room for improvement in terms of internal processes. I would rate OneSpan 3.5/5.

People are kind, approachable, and open to sharing knowledge, which creates a positive working environment. There is also openness to trying new ideas and exploring fresh approaches, which makes it an exciting place to contribute and grow. Strong cross-functional collaboration and flexibility make it easy to feel supported while doing meaningful work.

Pros

Remote work is amazing, and there is a lot of flexibility at OneSpan, as well as a lot of freedom to improve the company. If you have an idea, and you want to try and make it happen, they will let you. You may not get all of the resources that you need, but you will be given the opportunity to at least try it on your own.

Cons

Not sure the company is heading down the right path, and with all of the options available in the cybersecurity world, OneSpan is one 2008 banking crisis from getting hurt...bad. Its also pretty stagnant, and people tend to stay employed there for a very long time (which could also be a pro, not a con).
