Pros

The company culture is a perfect combination of sincere dedication, passion for our trade, and awful nerdy jokes. Everyone is here because they want play a role in building great software. We have a great team full of smart, fun individuals and the atmosphere is very casual and positive, but we don't waste time and we're always focused on the product. Our upper management is always straightforward about the requirements of this job. They don't sugar coat or dance around the challenges we face, and they will be the first to acknowledge the difficulties of our rapid workflow. I have an immense respect for the people leading us precisely for this reason. I also know that they will be right beside us in the trenches when things get hectic. Trust between management and employees is not something you find at every company. Because our leadership is so transparent and down to earth, the rest of us are able to focus on our jobs without worrying about office politics or distractions of that nature. That trust is mirrored in the way that management looks to employees for their expertise, utilizes their strengths and values their opinions.

Cons

Fast pace often means long hours. We're very serious about rapidly producing quality technology, and sometimes this comes at the cost of some free time. This is not the kind of job that you come to play ping pong for 8 hours and go home. For some, this may be a turn-off. For others, it's a sign that we are willing to do what needs to be done to be successful.

Pros

Unfortunately there isn't anything worth highlighting. If you are actively interviewing at OneTrust, I would encourage you to carefully read through the reviews. There are several red flags that I wish I would have been aware of prior to joining.

Cons

- Unsustainable turnover and bad leadership: The CEO, CRO, CFO, and CTO abruptly quit shortly after I started. There is extremely high turnover across all teams (particularly in GTM). Favoritism runs rampant, especially with tenured leaders. - Lack of job security and stability: At the beginning of this year, several of my peers were impacted by a reduction in force. This unfortunately appears to be a common occurrence at the start of the fiscal year. OneTrust is a revolving door for top talent. - Poor compensation: The bonus pool was slashed a few weeks after being announced at a company all-hands. This money was allegedly invested elsewhere (unclear where though). There is no equity refresh for existing employees and merit increases were far and few between this year. - Lack of diversity: Despite being headquartered in Atlanta, there are no black c-suite members. The board has no female members. Diversity is limited at the most senior leadership levels.
