Pros

I was affected by the great layoff of 2022 with almost 1000 people laid off. The people who work at OneTrust are some of the BEST boots on the ground you can ever hire. Senior executive leadership abused their reputations they had to lure in top talent and convince others throughout the company to lure in top talent of which I am still apologizing for putting my own reputation on the line with recommending others to come here. They built a rockstar team and a platform that really is a notch above the rest just because of the blood, sweat and tears of the team who put it together over many late nights trying to hit deadlines for GDPR, CCPA. Having been through a reduction in force before, the exit package was average (if not slightly above average) but little compensation for those of the almost 1000 already going through severe life changes and on work visas (of which MANY OF US are) who need to just find the next job we can as fast as possible.

Cons

Senior executive leadership and the board borrowed far too much money, spread themselves far too thin, and treated employees like furniture. They acquired companies nonstop clearly without solid business plans (hence the layoffs at the first sign of economic hiccup) and hired blindly without a CFO until recently and acquired company after company month after month. Rather than creating a responsible buffer for an economic hiccup where capital might not be cheap, they just fired "People First." They convinced people to work at sub par salaries as one does at a startup but offered very sub par options (which weren't given to everyone until recently in 2022).

Pros

Unfortunately there isn't anything worth highlighting. If you are actively interviewing at OneTrust, I would encourage you to carefully read through the reviews. There are several red flags that I wish I would have been aware of prior to joining.

Cons

- Unsustainable turnover and bad leadership: The CEO, CRO, CFO, and CTO abruptly quit shortly after I started. There is extremely high turnover across all teams (particularly in GTM). Favoritism runs rampant, especially with tenured leaders. - Lack of job security and stability: At the beginning of this year, several of my peers were impacted by a reduction in force. This unfortunately appears to be a common occurrence at the start of the fiscal year. OneTrust is a revolving door for top talent. - Poor compensation: The bonus pool was slashed a few weeks after being announced at a company all-hands. This money was allegedly invested elsewhere (unclear where though). There is no equity refresh for existing employees and merit increases were far and few between this year. - Lack of diversity: Despite being headquartered in Atlanta, there are no black c-suite members. The board has no female members. Diversity is limited at the most senior leadership levels.
