What kind of company says they value their employees when they make a decision to lay off 1000 of them overnight? All we were told is lies about how well the company was doing and how many new employees we've hired. Should have seen it coming then that they were growing too fast and without a plan. If you decide to make acquisitions and hire for each role, the least you can do is evaluate the redundancies you are creating in the process. As an international student on a visa, finding out one morning that you no longer have a job can put you in such a difficult situation. Got little to no help from the immigration folks on understanding the next steps. No matter how much they decide to pay you, think twice. Do you really want to join a company that will lay off so easily without thinking about pay cuts at the executive level? This company allows you to contribute to the success, not reap the benefits. I trusted this company. Don't make the mistake I did.
