Pros

- Generally Friendly staff. - HR is fair to deal with. - Good place to build environmental experience: time in the field and experience reading regulations. You have many opportunities to work different aspects of the industry. ====> IT IS A GREAT STEPPING STONE. <====

Cons

In no particular order, getting a lot off my chest: - Pay is lower than the industry average. Most technicians/lab/field people operate on near minimum wage. - Overtime is available but is strongly discouraged by upper management. - Intrusive security measures in vehicles: Not sure how much I can say here, but in general the company truck is not a private place and if you're in a field position you will basically live in your truck. Some people are on the road for months at a time. - Poor organizational skills at all levels. Aware of clients falling out of regulatory compliance as a result. - I don't know of a single person I have worked with who actually enjoys it here. Incidentally apathy runs rampant and many people slack off. The result is that those who do work hard have to cleanup the messes of others. This is a common occurrence and has brought client heat on numerous occasions. - Related to my previous point, short of management, employee turnover is quite high. - My initial offer undercut the posted pay range by $5,000. - Promises of management are paper thin. Was promised a holiday bonus and did not receive one. As well another coworker was promised an adjusted salary to compensate for ongoing medical expenses. They did not receive this either. This individual then left the company for unrelated pressing personal reasons, and was later made fun of for this by a certain member of management. I quote this manager saying "_____ is a bit simple." I can also quote this individual making cutting remarks about several other coworkers, and I am 100% certain they do about me too. - Management has encouraged employees to rat on each other in regards to dissatisfaction. I understand that they want to stem the loss of people but another method needs to be determined for this. This current method risks making the work culture even more toxic. Perhaps set up an anonymous complaint jar. - If not literally, most employees have mentally shorted MEG on the stock market. More Personal note: My mental health has not been great lately for the above reasons and other things that I can can't even write about. If it was not for my parents and a few supportive friends being there to let me vent, I would have to take high blood pressure medication. I can hardly wait to hand in my two weeks. tl:dr Employee feelings regarding Montrose are bleak. Only work here in its current state if it is your only option and you need experience to leverage your resume for other applications.

Lots of feedback here and while I encourage you to read on, I see that you are a current employee. I am committed to the leadership team’s open-door practice and encourage you to reach out to me directly so we can have an open and honest dialogue. What we are building at Montrose is unique and cannot be built overnight. We’ve come across, overcome and failed challenges as we grew and acquired. We consistently ask for feedback to help us get things right and with previous feedback, we’ve: • broadened paid parental leave • expanded time off programs including floating holidays for diverse holiday recognition and eliminating time off waiting periods • implemented an educational reimbursement program • have conducted pay parity exercises and took actions that resulted from it • provided employee resource groups in the areas of diversity and women • continuing to focus on leadership development with training and mentorships Kevin Gill SVP, HR

Pros

Company is highly adaptable. Maintains agility even though the company large. Upper management supports and encourages employee involvement.

Cons

Being a publicly traded company hinders some type of growth due to burdensome overhead.

Pros

Prior to our company's acquisition with MEG/Onterris, the company had a strong culture, supportive leadership, and employees who genuinely cared about one another and the success of the business.

Cons

If your company has been acquired, pay close attention to employee reviews and take them seriously. I did, and many of the concerns raised turned out to be accurate. Employees were repeatedly assured that the acquisition would create new opportunities and that jobs were secure. In my experience, that was not the reality. Long-tenured employees were gradually pushed out while similar positions were later reposted with modified titles or responsibilities. The former ownership ultimately lost control of decisions despite assurances that little would change. Employees with years of institutional knowledge spent years implementing new procedures, documenting procedures, learning the new system, and navigating disorganized Workday implementations with minimal support. Much of the guidance consisted of being directed to read instructions on the intranet. If you are in a finance position they will let you go! They will tell you they want it all centralized in Arkansas but that's not true, there are plenty of people working remote but you will be pushed out no matter how long you've been with your company. This not only affected me but our entire team was wiped out. They didn't give us a heads up in advance to look for anything for 2 years we were told everyone was safe and I believed them. Keep an eye out for the constant restructuring of upper management as well.

Thank you for a decade of contribution, and for sharing this so candidly. Change of this scale asks a lot of trust from employees, and we recognize that. We take feedback like yours seriously as we work to communicate more clearly through transitions and support the people navigating them. We'd genuinely value hearing more directly please contact our HR team at HRCorp@onterris.com so we can listen fully. Kevin Gill, SVP, HR
