Pros

Their PTO and winter recess is pretty competitive and each team member is committed and great to work with. Benefits kicks in pretty quickly. Remote work. Passion for ensuring contractors are treated with care. Company trips: We do quarterly get together every quarter and if you’re a top performer, you have the opportunity to go on paid vacations by the company.

Cons

Unfortunately, the work culture has the biggest opportunity. Let’s start with the ever revolving door of leadership: Majority of senior leadership has left or been let go. Every 2-3 months we have a change in leadership. There a few SVPs who have terrible management skills and consistently shows signs of favoritism. One in particular is known for singling out women and you often get talked down to or not acknowledged at all. This company claims to listen to their teams and says diversity is still a priority. That couldn’t be farther from the truth in which is what is practiced. Different ideas or opinions that opposes senior leadership’s agenda, is discouraged and will practically will cause you to be ostracized and/or targeted. If you are a neurodivergent, they are not equipped at all to manage or understand how to support your growth. Secondly, this organization changes their operations every other month and you are expected to switch gears immediately. You will be held accountable the second it changes without consideration of those who may have challenges with sudden changes. To be quite frank, they don’t even know who has special needs or requirements in order to be productive. That is a major problem if you are trying to promote diversity but want everyone to act the same way. It’s almost like being in an army. Also, equitable pay… yeah it’s a problem here. They will tell you that they pay their recruiters fairly BUT those with less experience have been paid equal or more than those with experience. I know for a fact that there were some recruiters with less that 2 years of experience from different markets making the same or more. There is no upward mobility. With this new structure, unless someone quits from their position. It is unlikely that you will move up on the ladder. Also, how you were able to get promoted in the past was inequitable. There is no clear way or understanding of how you could move up. There was no interview process, training class, or professional program to get you to your next role. There isn’t a pay increase plan either. Most companies will evaluate your performance and would give you a pay increase based on a performance scale. Not here. You have to ask and then get hit with “let’s reevaluate this in 6 months…” - I’m sure you’re already ticked off for me after reading that phrase. If you know, you know. This company loves to put people on performance plans. This is a clear indication that they don’t know how to manage and lack confidence in their training curriculum. Training is inconsistent. Not everyone was equipped with the same tools when starting out and that will damage the way people perform. Have a complaint about anyone in leadership? Nothing will improve. You are better off dealing with it or leaving. There is a particular VP that has been reported by several employees but is getting public praise from the CEO. This person is STILL getting away with their behavior. Overall- this organization is just not the best place to work. Protect your mental health. If you are considering coming here, go to LinkedIn and connect with a current and former employee to get their opinion on the company. It’s one thing to seek reviews from Glassdoor but it is more impactful to hear it from someone 1:1.
