Pros
-good people to work with on the ground who are hardworking and honest people -good work life balance -current mass exodus has left many open positions for "promotion", granted ELT doesn't get rid of those positions too
Cons
Where to begin...management is completely and utterly detached from reality and continues to take no responsibility for the mess they have created. Management continues to blame high turnover on the pandemic, or even insinuate that those who leave don't want to put in the work or can't deal with "change" (basically blame the employees), leading to a mass exodus of seasoned and even newly promoted employees. Accountability only seems to apply to everyone but ELT. Any time an employee asks tough questions or voices an opinion that is not praise in company wide calls, they are met with defensiveness and tension from ELT; it's no wonder so many employees feel helpless with having any chance of getting current needs met. Requests to fix tech are ignored, presumably because of resourcing, meanwhile they have hired so many sales people to sell a service that is hanging on by a thread. Management failed to backfill so many positions leaving everyone to pick up the slack for this, and now that people are leaving in droves, it's left the remaining employees in an even tougher spot to cover the work. Meanwhile new hires can't get up to speed in time to pace those who are leaving and with them goes all of the industry knowledge. Sadly HR either has the same mindset as ELT or has no desire to advocate for the employees, likely the former, which just exacerbates the current state of things.
