Pros

* A customer first, winning culture * Transparent, approachable, and engaged leadership focused on building and setting up it's people, brand, and products for long term success in the market. * Uber talented, intelligent, and cross functional teams that are truly engrossed in the development and support of efficiency and transformative business tools for government. * Surrounded by very experienced, diverse, and dynamic pool of talent that still manages to be a very genuine, authentic, and positive collective. Working with and learning from/alongside my teammates is very humbling and rewarding. * An energy for living the mission, living the culture, and living the values of OpenGov is a daily initiative and a collaborative effort. OpenGov puts these front and center (I promise anyone, you can't miss them). It's just a very cyclical concept that works. Believe. Practice. Repeat. In the reflection of the "Pros" of being a part of this rocketship company, the words that my spouse has chosen to fashionably decorate our dining room with here land with clarity and define my final thoughts: “Blessed" "Grateful" "Family.”

Cons

* Being a dynamic, fast paced, software startup within a competitive market, change is expected to be managed quickly. Everyone needs to be onboard for these challenges. * 401k matching would be great but equity and other great company benefits have real weight

Pros

Coming from a local government and MPA background, tenure has been fulfilling with more chances of expanding horizons and building a solid career in GovTech here. - Growth oriented culture - Encouraging and positive leadership (Manager and executive leadership encourages, listens and advocates for the team, 10/10 experience) - If you love the grind, this is the place to be - Excellent and fulfilling mission - Diverse team and strong team building culture

Cons

Pace of a high growth environment that is expanding and filling a huge gap in the market can be demanding, teams or individuals that thrive here are comfortable with change and sometimes ambiguity which isnt for everyone.

Pros

The startup-era culture here was genuinely good — collaborative, energetic, people-first. As the company grew, so did the ego. Leadership lost what made the place work and replaced it with a top-down, my-way culture that has driven out some of the best people.

Cons

I'm writing the review I wish had existed when I was researching this company. Not checking Glassdoor before I started was my single biggest professional regret. Promotion is positioned during recruiting as a near-term, achievable goal. In reality, the criteria are vague, inconsistently applied, and rarely result in actual advancement. KPIs are set at levels that ensure most reps will fall short — creating a perpetual sense of failure that serves management's pressure tactics, not your career growth. Advancement often appears less tied to clear performance metrics and more dependent on subjective favoritism, including maintaining close alignment with or “sucking up to” hiring managers and leadership, rather than merit alone. Transparency is essentially nonexistent. Turnover in the SDR org specifically is high and ongoing, but it’s never acknowledged or addressed internally. Candidates have no way of knowing the full picture going in. One more thing worth knowing: account executives are coached during training to post positive Glassdoor reviews. Please weigh that when you look at the overall rating. “Unlimited PTO” is also not as flexible as it may be presented. In practice, time off appears to be closely monitored and can be restricted, even for high performers, based on internal perceptions of fairness across the team rather than true flexibility or performance-based trust. This makes the benefit feel more like a recruiting talking point than an actual employee perk.
