Pros
The people - having worked here for seven months during COVID, I had to find a way to formulate connections with my colleagues quickly. My coworkers were fantastic. We had to rely on each other as advisories and were the only sane people that could see the mismanagement and how tone-deaf leadership could be.
Cons
OpenGov claims to still be a 'startup' despite being around for seven to eight years. Unfortunately, this approach justifies a lot of mismanagement and questionable implementation choices. What baffles me is OpenGov heavily recruits good talent, yet they shoot themselves in the foot and arrogantly think they know better than the subject matter experts they have hired. I quickly saw how disorganized and naive leadership was during my seven months there. The software I implemented was dull and lackluster compared to other industry titans like Oracle's NetSuite, Edmunds, or Tyler Technologies. Lastly, to anyone reading reviews, know that OpenGov heavily bullies present employees to write positive reviews while you are working there to inflate their profile.
