Pros
Sometimes the best way to know when you are at a #BestPlaceToWork company is when you have been part of not so great places to work. I realize now that we may sometimes 'settle' for in-humane workplace cultures because we haven't experienced any better. If you are looking to be THE best version of yourself - at work and in life - OpenSesame is committed to helping you do this. When you arrive you will clearly realize that you have joined a team of very productive and forward thinking people. And then you will feel so great being a person first, and then a worker who has valuable skills and talents. If your experience is like mine, when you join you will learn so much in a short period of time....all automated by the way. The on-boarding is world-class! In addition, at OpenSesame the culture is that there are no mistakes, just Mis-Takes with lessons to learn. LOVE THAT! I enjoy being on various teams being pulled into multiple conversations and projects to be my best version which means that my growth requires a process of trial and error. Another thing is that it is clear that what you make of your career (..and your life at OpenSesame) is up to you! You will have all the tools you need and if you need something that is not there, then please know that you can ask. But I can probably tell you that there is so much more than you even know what to ask for. So, what you do with the tools and resources provided is up to you. It's in your hands and the choice to succeed or fail is up to you. The career mapping for any promotions you may be seeking is totally spelt out for you, so no confusion or wondering, "What's next." When you join, please know that you may be nervous but the best thing thing you can do is listen, be yourself, and trust that OpenSesame has your best interests at heart. Cons
I joined the company during COVID, so the only con is nothing OpenSesame has control over, but I look forward to meeting my co-workers face-to-face, when it is safe to do so. Oh, and I wish there was more time in the universe to engage with all the resources and opportunities presented at OpenSesame. It's so amazing. It seems like whether it's yoga or meditation sessions or virtual happy hours, etc.. there is an unlimited space for you to fill in life-long learning, social work-life, and self-care as part of work... and just like that I managed to turn this con section into a pro. Sorry. Just come and work here. The con is that you are probably so amazing because you have read all this, and you are not here on our team already working your best version life. :)
