Pros

Competitive and decent pay compared to the market • Company provides cabs and meals, which is helpful • Work culture is generally professional • Not very rigid about the number of working hours as long as work gets done • Teams and managers are largely supportive, and the work itself is meaningful

Cons

Sudden removal of the hybrid model and shift to 5 days work from office is disappointing • In cities like Hyderabad and Bangalore, daily commuting can easily take 2–3 hours, which is exhausting and unproductive • For roles like Principal Customer Success Manager, most work involves client interactions across regions (calls, emails, Teams meetings) and can be done effectively remotely • The time lost in commuting could be better used for focused work, improving productivity and employee well-being • A full-time office mandate risks pushing away experienced employees who joined appreciating the flexibility and balance offered earlier

Pros

You get a paycheck. Some of the people are nice but don’t trust anyone.

Cons

Exec leadership is awful. Always putting out the positive party line but it is all lies. Products are so far behind competitors. No investment in product or marketing. Senior executive leadership team shuffles around their “good old boy” comrades to new roles instead of retiring them or holding them accountable. The internal politics with everyone back stabbing each other to manage up and keep their jobs. Leadership is just doing what the board chair tells them to do. It is all about self promotion vs doing the job. They like to blame the previous CEO but he has been gone a year and it has only gotten worse. OpenText likes to brand itself as top company to work for , I say STAY AWAY!
