Pros

Good benefits offered (insurance, pto, and 401K)

Cons

I worked under a manager who was verbally and mentally abusive, manipulative, harassed me almost every single day, hounding me for not knowing my job as good as my coworker who had been doing it for over 6-7 years. There is no training for the job, it is all on the job training, but EVERY situation is different, making it all the more difficult to learn the job. If the job wasn't done to the T, and my coworker and I didn't listen and do exactly that was told to us by our more experienced coworker we'd get tattled on to the manager and then get called into the office and yelled at by the manager. On several occasions I was yelled at, talked down to and degraded at my own desk where all my coworkers could hear everything being said loud and clear and all they could do was ask how I am surviving there. The other supervisors under the manager were too afraid to confront her of was going on because she'd make their life a living hell as well. There was an incident that the manager tried to choke me, but stopped herself before she physically put her hands on me. I never reported this to HR because of retaliation reasons from the manager and I know HR would not have backed me up. This was reported to HR in my exit interview via website (survey monkey) and a report submitted to HR on my last day. Attempted several times to reach out to HR to discuss what happened and my reason for leaving this job. HR and I played phone tag and last phone call made, they never called back. I was there for 18 months and was emotionally drained and miserable. if it wasn't for a couple of my coworkers on a different team I would have quit after 4 months and been completely satisfied with the decision. One of my coworkers and I went and talked to HR about what was going on and how they had been treated and how I was at the time being treated and nothing was done about it. Nobody has survived in the position more than 2 years. The day I put in my 2 weeks, she admitted that she wasn't fit to be a manager, but it is what it is and if she had the choice she wouldn't be a manager. The job itself is not terrible, if you are given a fair opportunity to learn it and grasp the ins and outs, but that isn't possible in the atmosphere of that department. Expectations are extremely high for this position and each employee is basically set up to fail.

Pros

The team of people I worked with.

Cons

Everything. This company is so toxic. I have PTSD from working there. We were worked to the bone. Upper management doesn't care about problems that are brought forth. When people quit, we are told to absorb their territories. When new ppl are hired, we are tasked with training them and onboarding them. They used to have a nice training program but got rid of it and the training team doesn't do anything but off load their work onto others. We were asked to wear way too many hats. I was working 12 hrs a day and on the weekends but nothing was ever good enough. Constant pressure to work in the field even when it didn't make sense. If there were no pts to see we were told to work from the lobby which was a HIPAA violation as everyone around me could see my patient list on my computer and hear me taking on the phone. There is too much pressure on numbers and zero support or help. No one held accountable for service failures either. Please seriously consider being a CTS. You will lose yourself and your life to the job.
