Pros

Some of the brightest people I have ever had the pleasure to work along side. Access to industry leaders and insight into market direction

Cons

There is no life outside of work, you will be woken up to emails/phone calls/texts, your day will be back-to-back meetings and you will work late into the night knowing you have not accomplished everything that needed to get done. You will be considered "not a team player" if you do have any personal commitments outside of normal work hours that you try to prioritize over work and it will be reflected in leadership's attitude towards you. Therefore, acknowledge that your life will not be your own if you work here, it will be Optiv's. Also, there is no such thing as promotions or career growth, especially if you are female. You will have to leave if you have any desire for upward mobility. Optiv will always hire externally vs. promoting from within (oooh- he came from "insert Big Name Company here"). Optiv is also hyper-focused on "being just like competitor X" without acknowledging the financial and resource investments needed to accomplish. There is an assumption that just because sales "needs it to compete", the delivery teams should be able to execute immediately on that idea. This leads to a hyper-reactive, beyond rapid-change priorities (they can literally shift from morning to night) and constant leadership pressure from all areas of the business.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
