Pros

-A lot of flexibility to move around the company. -Encouragement to continue career progression. -Competitive pay. -There is an engagement to want to grow and better the company -There are some great people who work there who will be there for the long haul - Other account managers want to help as much as possible - You get to work with some great customers

Cons

*Note, 40 of my 52 accounts were not live on the ERP yet, so my experience was much different compared to other AMs. Also I was on a very new team who were struggling as is in the ever changing environment* -AMs managing customers who were not live on the system just yet, meant taking on a PM role as the implementation partners and NS PS team usually did not meet expectations or handle speed bumps well. -Leadership was lacking and very new to their positions. So a lack of knowledge transfer was missing and misinformation was extremely common. It can be very difficult being new and constantly being given 5 different answers for one question. Many of those answers being wrong as well. I found myself digging into find the correct answers on my own and realizing the support that was supposed to be of assistance, were not as much support at all. -Sales can have a sense of being "pushy" but there was an added layer at Oracle NetSuite that made sales reps feel spread too thin. End of month and end of quarter was shoved down customers throats and even to a point that made me uncomfortable as it felt as though customers were being taken advantage of. -Customers did not feel taken care of and like they were sold something and left hanging. As an account manager, leadership often told us to just ignore the gripes or try to figure out how to push that to the bottom of your priority list. I was in the mindset of a happy customer is a buying customer. So much of the feedback I got from customers is "you are the only person at NetSuite that feels like they care about our business".

Pros

Every group/division can be different in how they treat their employees, but I'd say overall there is very good atmosphere of trust and fairness. There is a strong focus on education, and they reimburse for outside classes taken (Up to 5k/year I think). Benefits are good, and I'd say quite competitive in the market. Good 401K matching (they'll contribute a max of 3% of your 6% or greater). Free drinks in the breakroom. Flexibility to work from home at times. (If you live 50+ miles away from an office you can work full-time from home...policy).

Cons

They don't try to make the workplace anything special (maybe a pool table and arcade game are cliche or gimmicky?). In the 10 years I've worked there, they've given 2 measly %1 cost of living raises (this is the same with most everyone I've spoken to, some don't get any raises). You will not get a substantial raise ever, unless you leave then get rehired on (they will not match offers, better to leave). New employees that you train will make 10 - 20K more than you several years after you hire on (not just me, they do this to all tenured employees). They will give these untrained, less experienced people higher titles (again this is done to everyone not just me). You learn pretty quickly that you're dispensable. The company has billions in cash and they don't re-invest in their employees, just in acquiring new companies and hiring new people that know nothing that you get to train.
