Pros
Short work hours (especially in the summer), great location just outside of the loop makes it an easy commune within the city of Chicago, as well as many of the outlying suburbs, interesting industry (travel and leisure) that is changing quickly.
Cons
Senior management has no clue how to win - constant shifts in strategy and focus so there really isn't a strategy or focus. Teams are always in flux. The company is well behind the market leaders in a shaky market. Little confidence in senior management has created a negative and distrustful environment, especially after three rounds of layoffs in the past three years - survival is always top of mind. Very political organization where advancement and survival is more based on relationships than qualifications.
