Pros
Most individuals were pleasant and helpful.
Cons
OHSU took over my department from an affiliate (Tuality). You’d think this would be a step up for us, but it was miserable. No direction from executive leadership. Managers were given conflicting and inconsistent direction. There was no collaboration: it often seemed like we were pitted against one another. No communication/coordination between OHSU and Tuality leadership on common projects. Many (not all) OHSU staff were uninterested in productivity or customer satisfaction, and management seemed uninterested in changing that. Thousands of dollars were tossed away each month because OHSU was unable to implement its infrastructure; these economies of scale were supposed to save money. To be fair, I’m not sure it’s ITG’s fault as much as the OHSU executive leadership, who leapt into the Tuality relationship with seemingly no regard for the cost or complexity of integrating these systems.
