Pros
I echo the last review here that OHSU is a good workplace, however some managers are lacking some leadership training and people skills. Environment is challenging, but you do learn a lot and get to work with a variety of people. Co-workers are there if you need assistance, but you need to seek it.
Cons
There is no mentorship or training here, if you are a person who wants to learn and grow, you are on your own. I have never worked for any company or in this specific situation - a manager who is great in bringing you down. You put in a lot of effort to the work and you do get recognized by your business stakeholders, yet your manager advises you that you are not worthy and sends you a myriad of things on why he/she thinks that way. Like they have no clue on the work you have been assigned to do and are actually doing. They also advised you to look for work when not busy. When is it not busy around here? Every time you turn around there is a partnership going on and that is on top of your day-to-day job. Unrealistic expectations, they want you to do other people's job like project management, security, server management, etc. but yet you are considered lazy and need to do more, really??
