Pros
Worked at OHSU Foundation. Good salary. Great benefits. If you have a good mgr, can be great place to work. OHSU's mission is def inspiring. Raising money for important causes and smart scientists is rewarding. Doernbecher mission is amazing. Location on Marquam (or downtown office) nice, easy to get to. Nice downtown office, remodeled recently.
Cons
HR is a joke -- they reward non-performers and create busy work for all. There are managers that everyone (including senior leaders and even HR) knows are bad at managing people, but they do nothing and even promote. Most employees don't go to HR anymore because we remember a few people who have been burned from going to them. Biggest weakness is sr leadership.....lots of secrecy and annual reorgs. Closed door meetings and HR in the mix means "something is up," common phrase uttered by the cube class. Hahaha!! HR-senior management in cahoots with lots of crazy reorgs that create increasing levels of middle management. Some admins have 5 or 6 bosses -- alot for a place with 100 employees. Doernbecher is a crazy storm. Turnover there is outrageous, yet leadership problems persist. Everyone knows about it too.
