Pros

You get to wear many hats and learn a lot of skills. Laid back dress code. Will do cookouts and bowling days.

Cons

As previous review states, dressing down an employee in front of peers is common place (borders on verbal abuse). Job constantly threatened, statements like "I could pay Manila a third of what I do you and they could be up and running in a month! I don't need you!" were thrown around at entire departments by owner. Do not believe promises. Positions/promotions have been promised to people, and then never fulfilled. I've seen it several times. Overtime is rediculous. Most software companies require occasional overtime, it is part of the business. Required overtime for Tech/QA goes on for months at a time. If they close for weather or you need to leave early for appointment, you are expected to take if off your vacation time even through you've worked days worth of overtime.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I would like to address a couple of things. Yes, we do worked a lot of overtime. And like everyone that comes in for interview – the management always informed them upfront that we do a lot of overtime. As Software Company, we do quite a bit of updates/upgrades in response to our customer’s needs and Oklahoma requirements or making enhancement to our product. However, we also try to give some of the over time back, extra days off around Christmas and Thanksgiving, time out of the office when we close down to take breaks, etc. It may not be a one for one return but we try. And how do you get those overtime prevented, by team member catching every bug or testing every item on the list days prior to deployment. Neither owner nor management enjoy working those late nights but it if it’s necessary then it shall be done. The Legacy of OrionNet Systems is not only to do software right but people as well. We take pride in what we do and this is what makes us the best software company in the nation. With regarding the promotions or promises, every situation is different and has to be evaluated and look at…. Something must have happened that’s why the promotion was not fulfilled, and I’m sorry for that. But people job performance has to be looked at. We are a small family run company that has been around 15 years. We have had interns working for us who needed a step in the software industry; college kids who need credits or a step up before going out in the working world; high school kids who wanted to know all about the IT industry; and professionals of all type. We always try to treat our team as friends and family. We have helped team members with loans, helped them get out of trouble, helps some with visas, helped others with family issues, and even gone so far to be great references when they want to move on to other jobs and careers. All we ask for is people to be good team members and see the big picture of what we are trying to do for our customers and the Mental Health industry. Sometime people personality and worth ethics does not fit in our environment and we part ways. But we continue to bring in good people and they continue to help us deliver great service. We have people who have been with us for 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, and even longer, and we think that is because they like what they do and what we are trying to accomplish. Attention Reviewers/Readers. For the people that read reviews and this applies to all companies and readers alike. You need to know and understand that most of the time; you are only reading one side of the story.

Pros

Very thankful for my job. There are so many families out there that are struggling to put food on the table and roof on their heads. It's been though and very stressful because of Covid-19 but the owners been constantly doing all the best they can and they care about the employees and shows. They're very approachable and listen to someone's needs.

Cons

Wearing mask and washing hands which I don't mind.

Pros

The team itself is skilled and supportive. Colleagues collaborate well and genuinely try to deliver quality work.

Cons

The CEO frequently blames employees for issues outside their control, which damages morale. While encouraging questions in theory, in practice he dismisses them as a “waste of time,” creating confusion and discouraging open communication. Employees are often pushed into tasks unrelated to their actual role (e.g., coding or IT development), making the job description misleading. Leadership lacks transparency and consistency, which erodes trust.
