Pros

Let me be clear, this is warehouse work. The CSC (Consolidated Services Center) distributes all the supplies to the hospitals in the Orlando Regional Healthcare network. 14.50 per hr is a decent wage for this type of work in Orlando. The CSC is air-conditioned. There is no heavy lifting Everyone, for the most part, are good people and pleasent to work with.

Cons

If you just start here you will work every single weekend If you just start here you will work 2:30pm to 11pm shift If you transfer to 1st shift they will knock off $2 off your hourly rate. It is impossible to transfer to 1st shift (1 person in 2 yrs) If you just start here you will work does play favorites. Management plays favorites. Management wants the work done fast, so they can cut hours Management is more than willing for you to use up your PTO time to make up for those cut hours Management preaches quality, but quantity is the only thing that seems to matter. Management turns a blind eye to those who want to work during their breaks and lunch in order to get their "numbers" up. (which helps get the shift done earlier, so we can be sent home - and who do you think are thew management's favs who get weekends off?) Oh, I almost forgot the standard is perfection. "A Perfect Order Every Time" - If someone in another mod, the grid, or the dock dumps your tote and doesn't put everything back that's on you. If Central Supply or any of the Par stations miscounts what you sent that's on you.

Pros

As an organization, I truly believe that Orlando Health truly means well and truly does care about its team members and the community they serve. Their benefits are very good and pay rates are competitive

Cons

I left OH after more than 16 years, and the decision ultimately came down to a deeply ingrained lack of respect for critical frontline teams. My Field Support team was responsible for supporting every merger and acquisition, every major upgrade, and the day-to-day operation of all computer equipment across the organization. Despite this, we were consistently overlooked and rarely acknowledged in large meetings, while other teams received recognition. The breaking point came during a meeting with the Senior Director of IT/CE Operations (now Assistant Vice President), when I was asked about my job satisfaction. I raised a straightforward concern: that my team’s contributions were significant and deserved the same visibility and respect as others. The response was direct and telling: "Respect? That's never going to happen,” and he continued "You are merely a commodity that is only noticed if you fail." that made the culture and leadership mindset unmistakably clear. After 16 years of dedication, I chose to leave an environment where essential work is taken for granted and respect is not given equally and is impossible to be earned.
