Pros

Great exposure as a fresh graduate to corporate law, drafting prospectus Opportunities to be at the printer with bankers and auditors

Cons

Long hours and no overtime given your professional status (A secretary would receive an hourly rate while paralegal as a professional would not be entitled to) Work ends past 9 pm every night, may have to work over weekends and holidays Do the same work as a trainee lawyer and yet gets paid less than half of what a trainee lawyer makes

Pros

Pay is good, benefits are strong, and PTO is decent.

Cons

It felt quite unsupportive, with management that didn’t provide much guidance or stability. Expectations changed often, which made it hard to stay on track or feel settled in the job. There also seemed to be frequent turnover in the team, which added to the sense of instability and made the workload feel more inconsistent and stressful.
