Pros

Meaningful work with real stakes – The company operates in mission-critical environments where execution matters and mistakes are expensive. The work feels consequential, not performative. Strong leadership intent – Senior leadership is ambitious, accessible, and genuinely focused on building something differentiated. Entrepreneurial environment – There is room to shape your role, influence strategy, and build processes rather than inherit rigid bureaucracy. High-quality people – Many team members bring deep operational, military, or mission-critical experience and take pride in getting things done. Momentum and growth – The company is scaling quickly, with expanding opportunities across strategic accounts and service lines. For the right person, there is real upside.

Cons

These could be viewed as cons if you are not comfortable with constantly being challenged to be the best. Ambiguity is the norm – Roles, processes, and decision frameworks are still evolving. This can be frustrating if you need clearly defined lanes from day one. Requires self-direction – Success depends heavily on individual ownership and initiative. Those who wait for perfect clarity or direction may struggle. Growing pains across teams – As with many fast-growing organizations, alignment, communication, and consistency across groups can lag behind ambition. High expectations without much runway – There is pressure to deliver impact quickly, sometimes before all tools, data, or structures are fully in place. Not for everyone – This is not a plug-and-play corporate environment. People who prefer predictability, narrow scope, or rigid hierarchy may find it challenging.

Pros

My first 30 days as a Sales Director at Overwatch have been outstanding. The culture truly starts with people first, and you feel it in how leadership operates with confidence, discipline, and genuine care for the team. From day one I’ve been welcomed, included, and trusted to own strategic relationships and contribute to our mission-critical growth story. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, but there is consistent support—leaders are accessible, peers are eager to help, and there are real opportunities to learn, develop, and win together. I’m excited to build out the sales function here and be part of a purpose-driven organization that backs its people while delivering for customers in a high-impact space.

Cons

This isn't necesarily a con. But you need to be ready to go to work. This is a fast paced business model. The expectations realistic but demanding. You will be expected to commit to the mission.....as we all are.
