Pros
-It feels good to do good. Our apps truly, without the hint of a reach, help people every day. Users write in about their experiences on a daily basis, and these affirmations are sort of the fuel that keeps us going -Excellent culture. Everybody is so smart and driven, and very much on the same page when it comes to the mission. The culture is very warm, welcoming, and fun, but without the sort of "frattiness" that many tech companies have. -Strong leadership. Upper mgmt sits and works among the rest of us, creating an environment where people generally feel they know well, and feel comfortable with, their managers, and often their manager's manager. Management has done a great job of communicating the Ovia's mission to all employees, and conferring the same sense of passion that they have for improving the lives of women and families.
Cons
-Growing very quickly. This is, I suppose, not a bad thing, but rapid growth means that everybody doesn't know everybody anymore. This probably isn't something a new employee would notice though. -Office. The location is great in Downtown Crossing, but the building that we're in could stand to be improved. We have our own floors, but share the building with a couple other companies, which can makes doors, halls, and stairs a bit congested
