Pros
Passionate and talented staff, innovative products that enable real improvements to quality of life to be developed, nurturing environment for personal growth with strong investment in staff development and training including an in-house academy, rewards strong performance with career progression opportunities.
Cons
Sometimes too short-term focused - takes business decisions to deliver this year’s performance knowing that the future growth and health of the company is being compromised. Losing a lot of skills through an attempt to “process-engineer” everything when some skills just require training and not a work instruction. Losing ground to competitors. Too slow to take decisions, and generally only takes the safe bets which makes for a conservative business model. Feels like they spend too much time restructuring, and on too half-hearted initiatives that are not well or fully implemented
