Pros

Nice location, good weather. This is a fine place to work if you want to get some mediocre experience and move on. The hourly pay is alright. If you get in the right department, you may get treated at least respectfully and get some recognition when you do a good job. I think I work in one of the better departments. I have pretty experienced competent managers with the exception of one who is nice most of the time anyway.

Cons

Little promotional opportunity and mentoring is rarely experienced. Stagnant salaries, poor benefits and mismanagement is the norm. Heavy middle management that does not appear to be very motivating or supportive of employees, depending on where you work. Medical benefits are poor and leadership skills focus primarily on the stick rather than the carrot. If they knew what a carrot was, they would probably use it as a stick. Some managers are bullies and abuse privileges such as work schedules and time off with pay. I was mislead about promotional opportunities when I accepted the job.

Pros

Employees are hard workers who are ethical and not afraid of complex tasks, long hours, and sacrificing family time on holidays. Pay is good if you’re willing to do overtime.

Cons

Being here on time, every scheduled shift, is non-negotiable. If you want a job where your work-life balance can be a priority or you want to be online all day this may not be for you.
