      Pros

      This job was on a winter contract in McMurdo Station, Antarctica. This is a great opportunity to see the seventh continent while getting a free trip through New Zealand (we deploy va Christchurch, NZ).

      Cons

      There is a lot of unnecessary turnover due to a lot of government budget constraints. I know employees typically blame PAE, but most of the problems stem from too many cuts.

      Pros

      It was immensely rewarding participating on projects from start to finish.

      Cons

      Location was not my favorite. One way in, one way out, causes traffic getting on and off base. Base police are strict.

      - no overtime - calm environment

      Cons

      - can be really hard for someone that is not used to working in a place without daylight. - job is doable, but is very repetitive.
