Pros
-Sometimes your hard work gets notice. -Some of the hire ups try to help.
Cons
-Easy to paint yourself in a corner -Hard work or your 100% demands more and when you fail to do so you get in trouble or threatened. I have been been threatened with my job by my higher ups for not doing things I am not paid for. -I am a graphic artist. They were to hire me as one. They put me on the floor. I have tried to work to become a graphic artist. I have been noticed for my abilities. They refuse to let me into the art department because I do not fit into their clique. -There is a class difference between office people and production employees. Office people are well well paid for doing little work or effort. Floor workers are hardly paid well enough to make a name for themselves comparing them to other companies like Custom Ink. -Lowest paid factory work I have ever received for manual labor. -Some job skills need some training which they fail to do. -Some job titles they will throw on you without increase to pay rate. -Random Pay check errors are constant. -Rumors spread like wild fire and management never clears them up. -Speaking out or suggesting something for improvement gets ignored. -When you have skill sets beyond what your job title is you are treated as if you do not matter or you do not know anything. -Some of the Engineers at the company see people with these skills and will try to help you but the people above them will snuff you out. -Employees get upset at other employees and they like to see what happens if they force you to work with them. Then when things get bitter they will fire both of the employees. -The place is a death trap for safety. They will only do the bare minimum to meet OSHA laws. We have failed our past 2 fire drills because of lack of signage, blocked path ways. -When someone does get hurt or injured they are punished for doing so. I.E. someone passed out from heat exhaustion and they fired them when they came back from the hospital. -They will put supervisors on the floor to do nothing but manage numbers. They will politic and play mind games out of boredom. They will protect people they like and fire hard workers. I.E. Fired a good worker of mine because she had to go to court. This is illegal to do, but Leeds/PCNA let it go. -A good co-worker I had quit because he was being treated unfairly. I have tried to help him but even with me helping him the supervisor is never in the wrong. -I have had benefits taken away from me as punishment. I.E. Wage cut. Denied vacation time, Overtime that is not needed, Reduction of staff because they are mad at me. -When requesting to seek help for an issue at work, HR and supervisors will automatically assume you are the trouble maker and punish you. -Everywhere I have ever worked I was permitted free beverages to drink. Leeds/.PCNA only has 3 water fountains. -They refuse to equip you with propper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) I.E. Cut resistant Gloves, Safety Glasses... Because they feel you will not wear them. -When issues with bulling in the work place, HR does little to nothing to prevent it and resolve the problem other than "talking" -Contracted custodians are treated poorly by Leeds/PCNA staff. I am friends with one of the custodians. -I have had personal stuff stolen from me from supervisors. Reported it to HR and they demanded me to keep personal tools for work at home. They refuse to give me the correct tools to do my job so I have to buy my own. -Shifts constantly fight with each other over who is better. I have tried my hardest in my department to play ball and be passive with everything and management has failed to take my example and have others follow in line with being passive to both shifts. -I have been trained by top notch employees at Leeds/PCNA and have been told my training is bad. Though I continue to out preform. -People are too stressed out at work. -Anything Leed's/PCNA gives to their employees comes at a cost or punishment. I.E. employee picnics have been canceled on request by production employees because it is during work time, and always results into 10 hour days and working both Saturday and Sunday. -Sales and Customer Relations do not know how to say no to a customer with an unrealistic time for product to be in their hands. I.E. Google demanded bags to be hit and delivered to them in less than 12 hours. This is an impossible goal which cost the company more money and saying the deadline is unrealistic. -I have been working understaffed for over 2 years now and when I request more people and got yelled out to do a better job. -One of the Floor Managers threatened me with me job because I by myself cannot out preform the numbers of 3 employees. As well and went on to tell me everyone hates me and I am a horrible work. It ruined my work day. -Jobs I have tried to work my way into always gets me over looked where I stopped caring about my work performance and even given up and trying to apply for a better job with the company because of favoritism. -Your skill sets do not really matter and they will not place you in the job you are best suited for. -Employees who should get fired keep their jobs and the people who work hard either quit or get fired.
