Pros
With regards to the retail arm only, pretty much the only reason to work there is the possibility of above-average compensation and the possibility to take part in the trading/capital management arm's great financial success.
Cons
A tendency to hire programmers, who while sharp, are too easily lead, have very little opinions of their own, and have poor communications skills. This makes for sloppy, sloppy management and "progress" actually feels like trudging most of the time.
