Caring and team environment. Many great people. Exciting growth opportunities. Once in a lifetime CEO who makes it his personal business to travel all over talking to all the employees a couple times a year and actually takes action from what he hears. We love it when he comes to our town and spends real time with us.
Cons
I'm sad to see the negative reviews that are really about one person. That's not PenFed. There are hundreds of great employees and leaders and execs who care and run the company with the members and employees first. It is a stressful environment. That's because there is so much to do. Most of the employees I know are excited to be part of it. Not everyone can handle the fast pace very well so don't come here if you don't want to work hard. But one exec with poor management style can cause a lot of problems - a lot of fear and anger in their area. Lots of crying. People feel bad.
