Upper management and E-team claim to care about employees, but their actions speak louder than their words. A common theme of management's internal PR campaign is that working at PenFed is like working for a "family" - but forcing 100s of employees to uproot their REAL families and move across the country OR compete with each other for a handful of lower paying jobs OR be laid off is not how one should treat their "family".
PenFed claims to be a destination employer, and in the past, under different leadership, this may have been true to an extent. The company used to focus on serving it's members and taking care of it's employees - it was a large credit union with a small business culture. With new leadership the focus is now on growth, even at the expense of member experience and employee morale.
If you like shiny buildings, motivational speeches, and free candy you will like it here. If you want to work for an employer that treats you like a human instead of a "human resource" look elsewhere.
