Pros
There are two good reasons to work at PLI: the non-management employees who are hard-working people trying to make a living and the money you can make in sales. Actually there is one more pro...this is a great place to work if you don't want to work hard but just do everything the handbook says you have to do. As long as you can predict that in 2 days you are going to have to call in sick and never have anything come up in your life that prevents you from being on time every single day you have found the perfect place for you!!!
Cons
The number one con of PLI is management, not including the CEO who I actually find to be the most truthful out of all of them. Management there is based on how much you sell rather than the actual qualities of a manager that matter such as the ability to train someone properly (their "training program" is horrific and randomly chooses what is important to know), the ability to distribute accounts evenly to sales reps so that one isn't put above the other, the ability to evaluate what is important in an employee which is their quality of work and not the fact that they took an 11 min break when it was supposed to be 10. I understand that to run a business properly there must be rules, but the only reason they have the rules they have is to set up an employee once they want them gone. To the people who say stop being a coward behind a computer screen: if you want to get fired, go ahead and voice your concerns, and then watch how things change around you and I promise you will be fired within a few months. I was that person who voiced my concerns and then when my fellow peers were given accounts, I wasn't so it looked like I wasn't doing as much work and making as much money for the company as everyone else. You would ask, well i'm sure someone was keeping track of that to insure everyone is treated the same...actually it isn't. But if they want you fired but you have been meeting your goals every month, they will open their little handbooks and find your weakspot and fire you over something you wouldn't of even gotten in trouble for in school.
