Started off promising, ended up poorly - Senior Software Engineering Manager PMG Digital Company Employee Review

Pros

Excellent co-workers!! Decent perks, especially for parents Some ability to WFH 4 weeks PTO (but 0 sick pay) Some additional random days off Big emphasis on DEI

Cons

Lower than average pay No sick leave Volatile policies, always confusing as to what has changed for the year Chronically understaffed in engineering Zero pay transparency. Managers do not know nor do they have much influence on their teams' pay HR polices WFH by tracking employees, instead of trusting managers to handle their team *** Bonuses are announced (and earned) in December and paid out at 20% in December and 80% in April, due to when clients pay PMG. If you are not employed as of April, you DO NOT get the remaining 80% even though you earned the bonus for work in the prior year. While it's unclear whether this is illegal, it's certainly unethical, especially for a company that touts one of its values as "Do the Right Thing" For comparison sake, this is like working a week, and your employer not having the wages to pay you at the end of the week, and thus promising to pay you in a month's time. You quit a week later, and then your employer reneges on the deal because you are "no longer employed there" ***
