Pros
Freedom to structure the classes how I wanted, interact with the kids in a fun creative way, lots of flexibility in activities, good way to meet the other employees too. Also I met my partner of 4 years here so while there were a lot of frustrating moments, I look back on my time here fondly.
Cons
At the camp I was at (West), a lot of the time i would ask for materials to improve processes or restock things and I would either be given empty promises ("oh we can totally get that for you! no big deal I'll look into it right away" weeks would go by and nothing, this happened several times), or be guilted for asking for restocked materials. This was particularly frustrating because the things we needed restocks on were the most popular activities each week, not just useless things. We're talking tie dye powder and paracord.
