Pros

Flexibility. But that is about the only pro, nothing else I can think of cam pared to other companies"..............Work on the automotive refinish side if you can

Cons

First off I'll say you do get a company car, however you have to pay $125 out of your own check each month for it. Also there is no 401k match for the first 5 years at least if you work in the Architectural coatings side of PPG as a rep in the big box stores. Then they say you work a 45 hour week but in reality it's a 50 hour work week because you don't get drive time unles it's over an hour drive and you only get the minutes after the hour has past. So if it take you 1 hr 15 mins to get to your store you can only count the 15 mins into your time. Also the sales goals are unfair and not realistic, in the big box side they compare all of the numbers to the prior year and you don't get a full bonus unless you finish each qtr 4% over the goal. So with he numbers being compared directly to the year before it can be hard to constantly grow sales 4% year after year so to think of you grew sales 1-3% they would barely give you any bonus, but think you increased sales but wasn't rewarded for it. It's not a realistic sales goal and you may not get a bonus depending on how good of anger the previous person had.

Pros

- Education benefits (but access/support depends on your manager) - Flexible workplace (work hours/wfh) - Diverse workforce.

Cons

- Does not support employee promotions. Very difficult to get promoted if you are not an engineer. - Low pay, salary increases depend on manager. For the past couple years, most employees did not even receive adjustment for inflation. - Constantly loses top talent because management is unwilling to invest to keep good employees.
