      Pros

      If you are young, ambitious and malleable, you will be advanced quickly. Pay and benefits are adequate but not above average. PPG is still a reputable name.

      Cons

      Management is poor. Managers are not equipped or supported in their roles. Decision making is short sighted. Resources are often not available. Company is systematically phasing out experienced workers. New global operating system is awful. Makes doing your job harder and slower but expectations and timelines have not changed. Overall company is out of touch with reality of day to day work and declining culture/environment.

      Pros

      - Education benefits (but access/support depends on your manager) - Flexible workplace (work hours/wfh) - Diverse workforce.

      Cons

      - Does not support employee promotions. Very difficult to get promoted if you are not an engineer. - Low pay, salary increases depend on manager. For the past couple years, most employees did not even receive adjustment for inflation. - Constantly loses top talent because management is unwilling to invest to keep good employees.
