Cons
The training was one of the most intense in my employment journey. Mind you; I've done crisis intervention in other companies. It consists of three weeks of live and self-paced training. The intense part was the deadlines. Suppose you didn't complete them by the deadlines if you get an email after 3 missed deadlines. You have to speak to HR. Like the other reviewer said, they focused more on Risk Assessment than actual emotional support. I understand that assessing for SI is essential, but in reality, half of the callers are looking for emotional support. After the training, you get about 3 or 4 On-the-job training; those trainings are like "do or die." Suppose your On-the-job trainer doesn't feel like you are not hitting those points. You probably won't have a job with them afterward. The deal breaker for me is that they are not flexible with scheduling. To get a day off, you have to beg them literally. I understand it is a 365 24/7virtual call center. But life happens, and there should be some flexibility with that. Another thing that threw me off is one of the clinicians would talk roughly about the callers. Like, come on, let's be professional here. The caller's feelings should be validated.
