Pros

Pretty decent pay for a beginner AMT. Great way to get tools for free if you take advantage of that program and most of the Sonic tools are pretty good stuff. Great place to learn aircraft diversity---you'll have your hands on every system from the tail to the nose.

Cons

A bit of a rough culture because most AMTs are young having just got their A&P. You're treated less than professionally by management and I think the immaturity of Mechs and Leads cause that. Kind of feels like you're treated more like a child with threats of being "written up" all the time, which is annoying for those that come in and do the job faithfully and without drama. You won't get to use vacation days until a full year.

The company is full of smart, hardworking and knowledgable people who understand what needs to be done to make things happen.

Cons

For some reason, even with the latest regime change, none of the upper management appear to see or listen to improvements that could improve operations or employee retention. The chain of command goes both ways and maybe the information is going up. Maybe they hear but they do not listen to the reasoning- even for items that would not cost anything.
