Pros
- Great flight benefits. You get the same benefits as mainline American Airlines. I have enjoyed trips all over the US and a few out of the country - Training is paid - Small airline, so seniority can be gained relatively quickly compared to other airlines
Cons
- Reserve itself has been really difficult lately. They are bleeding flight attendants. We have a contractual limit to how many hours we can work in a day and how many days we can work in a row. These contractual limits have been violated frequently lately with vague excuses given. Because of this, many flight attendants are leaving or calling out sick - They can and DO rearrange your days off. It's supposed to be a last resort, but it has happened to me twice already this year (writing this in March) - They have a point system for attendance, and you receive points for calling out sick, even with a doctor's note - Senior mama culture - most flight attendants are great, but you do have some that have decided that it is their duty to snitch on people not doing things right. The things you could do wrong range from safety issues to silly mistakes to you not doing something their way - Low pay. Pay is higher here than other regionals, but it is still low
