Pros

You have the ability to change your days around while on reserve. You have mainline American Airlines flight benefits. Flight benefits are based on first to check in (not seniority based).

Cons

They will most likely add 1-2 turns (trips) on your last day. They will not hesitate to extend your trip, meaning they will extend you into your day off and give you a day off at a later time. Getting ahold of crew scheduling can take a while, be prepared to wait on hold for a while.

Pros

The company is full of smart, hardworking and knowledgable people who understand what needs to be done to make things happen.

Cons

For some reason, even with the latest regime change, none of the upper management appear to see or listen to improvements that could improve operations or employee retention. The chain of command goes both ways and maybe the information is going up. Maybe they hear but they do not listen to the reasoning- even for items that would not cost anything.
