Pros

Nobody believes how much time off PTC offers: 22 days off from the start, rising to 27 after 4 years and 32 after 10 years, plus 12 holidays. Fridays during the summer are early release, and there are various half-days before other holidays. Also 12 weeks paid parental leave. Employees are valued and salary is fine. Teams are small and a good employee will make a real difference to a team.

Cons

Compensation is a little mysterious, there are no public salary bands by title. Engineer quality varies quite a lot, as great people often stay many years for the benefits but less-good people are not easily let go, especially from lower-cost areas overseas. The hiring process seems idiosyncratic by team.

Pros

Flexible, great colleagues, good HR training on goals and objectives

Cons

Depends on the group, toxic culture pockets exist, abusive and bullying behavior is laughed at and accepted rather than corrected, unclear strategy, business unit level vision is lacking, no accountability, several HR complaints against a manager go unaddressed, slow to change, can be chaotic, more interest in checking the box than hitting the right mark.
