They can't keep up with compensation and don't offer geographical pay. And when you drill into specific departments and team functions, it's a mess. Unfortunately, there are pockets of managers who devalue women; when brought to the attention of HR, they didn't do anything about it because it's the good old boys club. Others have told their employees to focus only on their positions, not on professional growth or stretch assignments. Basically, swim in your own lane. They've changed a lot, and it's sad to see.
