Pros
- Good place to gain an experience. Better than hopping around every 6 months with a temp agency - Pace has their own environmental labs - They contract out to other companies (get to see experience other companies) without being tied to a temp agency - health benefits, 401k, holiday pay, time off - Some room for advancement within the company -Monthly meetings, even as a contractor. Helps keep in touch with Pace on a regular basis.
Cons
-Incredibly low pay, especially for contract workers. I was a bit shocked when I realized how the numbers compared across the industry. This is not a place to make a career if you want to make a good wage. This is a place to work up experience and move on. They're selling point is "we offer benefits and temp agencies don't!" Well temp agencies may not have benefits, but literally every other job pays better. -High turnover rate that would easily fixed if they just paid employees well. -I'm sure this is manager dependent, but I was not pleased how workplace bullying is handled within the company. - Us vs them mentality with companies they contract with. - Not a good place to work if you have you are experienced. A good place for a pit stop (which happens often) or a fresh college grad. - Health benefits sub-par
