Pros
As an hourly employee, if in the appropriate lab, you can essentially make your own work schedule depending on the staff available. Consistent work practice Routine job responsibilities, no need to worry about learning something new every day.
Cons
The management is very autocratic. There is very little communication between technicians and GMs in regards to personal growth. Information has been cited to be manipulated, in terms of tested/extracted data to meet EPA guidelines, lab managers have very little care for the staff, it functions purely as a autocratic business. Not guaranteed employment and can be let go without notice. Once promoted, you are not guaranteed a raise and can passively push roles onto you without consent. Does not properly handle emergency situations well, which leads to a BIG safety hazard to all it's employees.
