Pros
Coworkers were “nice” (at least to your face)
Cons
I do NOT recommend working here. I was taken on at $18.25/hr at Hazelwood as a recent graduate from a nationally ranked college and worked here for two months before realizing it was not a good fit (to put it politely). The people are nice to your face, sure, but there is absolutely no communication regarding expectations or feedback for improvement. I received conflicting instructions from my supervisor and trainers and was reprimanded no matter whose instructions I followed. They claim to value employee safety, satisfaction, and ideas for improvement—but I was yelled at for filling out a “safety idea form” because it would “send a ping to corporate.” The training is bare minimum, the pay is subpar, the staff is overworked, and they **do not set you up for success.** I have no qualms with the coworkers (we were all trying to survive in the same leaking boat) but the management appears to view you more as a disposable set of hands than as a long-term asset to the team. Their strategy is to use you and dump you with no warning, just a laundry list of all the expectations you did not meet (which they never communicated with you in the first place).
