Pros
This is a entry level science position for recent graduates to gain laboratory experience for a few years and leave for a better position or company. The starting pay leaves much to be desired, although there is a small opportunity to build a career. Schedule is very flexible, no issues if you are running late or need a day off, as long as you get 40 hours a week things are generally acceptable.
Cons
The pay doesn’t get much better from the starting salary to an experienced position. The health insurance is garbage and basically only covers you for major accidents unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Work isn’t divided evenly amongst teams, meaning the same people are always asked to pick up the slack of people who do the bare minimum and dont even reach company set goals. But nothing is ever done about the discrepancy.
