CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT
- Effective training is severely lacking
- Seem to hire based on need, not qualifications
- Little accountability
- Have to yield to sales reps and managers instead of fixing problems and helping customers
- Holds on to ineffective workers way too long. Some of the people in the department are/have been terrible and their job and kept on despite being shown information, sales reps losing sales, angry customers, lack of change. Completely unthinkable
COMPANY
- Once a contract is sold, sales reps move on, leave contracts to clean up messes
- Sales reps held accountable for NOTHING at all, ever. Customer anger falls on us
- Sales reps are heavily incentivized to not help us. They are all about the next sale, paperwork, customer questions, etc. be damned. Incentives include dealer kickbacks, commission, quarterly, week long trips to Costa Rica, Bahamas, Mexico, etc.
- These incentives build resentment between indifferent sales reps looking to make money and hard working contracts department trying to help customers
- Executives side with sales reps in every aspect. Sales drives the company and any problem must be someone else's fault
- Management and executives play favorites. Anyone who is seen as a golden child cannot be argued with or you get in trouble. Asking for someone to do their job correctly will only hurt you. Asking ANYTHING of a high level sales rep is completely out of the question. Heaven forbid they be held to any sort of standard because they make money
