The longer I am gone, the more I realize how bad it was - IT Help Desk Technician Pacific Office Automation Employee Review

1. This company is hugely unorganized and uninvested in its employees 2. The company mostly treats all in on the MSP/MITs/IT side of things like garbage, just there to fulfill their bottom line 3. The president is unwilling to give people raises that truly deserve it. They like to say they have a "work hard, play hard" culture, but that is dramatically untrue for the IT department. You can work really hard, and maybe they'll reward you with the random $10 Starbucks gift card. 4. Doug Pitassi, THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY, is involved in any raise over a small percentage and basically says no to all requests, despite the fact that he likes to brag about how great the company is doing financially 5. They run the IT department (per the Doug Pitassi's leading) like a sales business from the 1980's. 6. Their benefits are trash, if you start in December (like I did) you don't get any time off (except 5 sick days) for the whole year until January 1st. 7. They are constantly changing things, and making work life horrible for their employees. It would be understandable if those changes actually helped, but they never did. In the time I was there (a little over a year), there were about 7 significant changes to structure of the IT/MITs department, with more on the way when I left. 8. For those going into sales; GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LEARN. They will teach you a way of selling that is toxic, dishonest, and self serving. Even if you're new to the sales game, just try and find another company. 9. Horrible hiring/onboarding practices. I was hired and hardly given any information on when paperwork needed to be turned in and what I needed to do. They will not really train you. This is fine if you are good at learning on your own. 10. They are not good at communicating expectations for ticket count, nor at rewarding those who work the hardest to close tickets. There is so much more but the last thing I will say is, if there is one take away it's this: DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. Like, only if it's literally your last option.
